Sustainability is a Habit

I once read of a nice story of JP Vaswani.

An old man on his death bed called his first son and asked him to pluck a coriander plant. He plucked it effortlessly. The old man was pleased and he called his second son to pluck the curry leaf plant that has grown to about six feet in the garden. With some difficulty his son removed it. Now it was the turn of his third son, who was promptly called and asked to pluck the coconut tree. The third son looked puzzled. Explained the old wise man, 'Look my sons, Habit is like a tree. You tell it grow like a coconut tree you can never remove it.'

Look around you. Don't you feel that every little unsustainable element stems from unsustainable behavior of ours? Why not take a resolution on this Earth Day to make sustainable way of living our habit?
