Change is afoot: Shoes made from reclaimed leather

London's underground tube carriages and city buses have been in continuous use for a long long time. However, their seat covers are regularly discarded. Above+Below London™ have found reason to reclaim them and make shoes out of them. The promoters Robert Taylor and Caroline Read collected and preserved the covers before they were lost to landfills or incineration.

British desinger Dame Vivienne Westwood spun the magic around these products and made into a fashion icon in her unique ways.

The project is sponsored by FirstGroup, the world' leading transport company. They donated its London bus seat materials to the project.

The company pledges to donate a tree for each pair they sell.

Fabulous shoes for eco-urbanites, aren't they?
