The Re-cycle Laundry Center has three-in-one machine: one is a washer, one is a dryer, and the third is a water tank and filtration system. Water is gravity fed from the tank unit to the washing unit and vice versa, eliminating the need for a pump. After the washing cycle, the dirty water flows back to the storage tank where it is cleaned and filtered ready to be used again. The drier unit can operate independent of the washing unit.
We don't need to go this far yet. It is enough to separate plumbing lines in our homes into two separate lines: one for black water from toilet flushing and the other for gray water from kitchen and washing. The gray water can then be treated using a simple bio-dynamic flow system and used for gardening purposes or even for flushing purposes.
