How much free are we?

Dear Sir

I hope you are fine and doing well. Please give my regards to Anuradha and your children.

Just happened to see your website, it is nice and lot's of discussion happening!

I wonder! What makes you to take such a decision! It is like sun rising from west, turnaround! This makes me thinking "Are we [living] in such democracy! Are we so free? Is this freeness within us?"

Why everybody can’t do this? Is this the system or society's problem? We are just tied with routine life, bonded with so many things!

I don’t know about other countries, from you what I can understand; India is a great country to live in. You can do whatever you feel like unless until you won't do bad to others.

Whenever i think about you, this question comes to me.

Can man take such a decision?

I wonder, still wonder, how this has happened. And Let me know the measure and quantity of your "self belief"

Thank you very much
Mahesh

Dear Mahesh:

Great to hear from you. With the blessings of the Truth we are all feeling protected all the time.

It is a wonder by itself that you must ask about freedom today of all days. Only today I wrote a 14 page article on freedom in tamil in my silence day. Freedom is a state where we listen to the Truth in silence from within and acting according to it. How can any one be denied that state in any country or religion or section? The only person who can imprison me is myself. You can be free even when you are nailed down on a cross. The consciousness within knows no pain or pleasure. It is in a state of eternal bliss. Our duty is to travel inwards and open the many prison doors that we have kept closed for years.

For your sake, I will have my article translated to English one of these days and send it to you.

be blessed,
murali.
