Bats-our greatly wronged friends

Published in

Dependent on bats as we are, it would be disastrous to us if they die out.
If bats die out, farmers' crops would die out due to pests, pollination will not occur for some flowers, therefore fruits will not grow, reducing the size of the yield. Overripe fruits will not be eaten so the floor will be littered with overripe fruit.
All this the bats do for us and what do they get in return?
Habitats being ruined by smoke, deforestation, mining, quarrying, cave entrances blocked etc. Being killed for food, medicine and sport etc.
Tell me my friends is this what they deserve?

I found all of them are endangered due to man. none of us would think of it but can you imagine it, everyday hundreds of animals are being killed because of us.

Whether the weather be fine

Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold
Or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not.

Caged Bird

Published in

This poem was very inspiring to me. Hope it is for anybody reading this. This poem will mean something to you only if you understand the true meaning of it. It is about two birds, one caged and one free. It shows the differences between them. It talks about how a free bird is confident and a caged bird has fear. This can be applied to one’s own life. A child of two will not do what you want it to do. It will do what it wants to do. This is when one is like a free bird. As we grow older our minds develop into cages that restrict us.

You Monkey!
Sitting on the tree,
Are you feeling hungry?
Come to me.
And I will give you roti.
And oh Monkey!
You will get water from me.
